They require like an experienced developer who keeps abreast of the latest technologies is conscious of w3c \ web standards, has worked on high profile / high traffic websites. Skills: High Quality Handcoding in: - CSS - HTML + Xhtml - AJAX - JavaScript libraries, XSLT/XML - Beneficial (Jquery/Json/Dom) - Accessibility / Usability conscious - Experience on High Traffic Websites It would be useful to view some example URLs.
